Mr. Medina is currently an attorney at the Portland law firm of Squires & Lopez, P.C. His main practice areas are criminal law, personal injury with an emphasis on automobile liability and Estate Planning. Ruben is also well versed in the areas of civil rights and International Law.

As a law student, Mr. Medina was involved in several student organizations including the ACLU, and the Latino Legal Society. He has also written several legal research papers in the areas of civil rights and the international self-determination of colonized nations.

Prior to his association with Squires & Lopez, Mr. Medina was the Judicial Clerk to the Honorable David Gernant at the Multnomah County Circuit Court.

Professional and Community Involvement
Mr. Medina is currently a member of the Multnomah Bar Association, where he is a member of the Young Lawyers Professional Development Committee. He is also a member of Oregon Women Lawyers, the Oregon Trial Lawyers Association and a committee member of the Oregon State Bar’s Affirmative Action Committee. Mr. Medina also supports the community groups Cascades AIDS Project and Basic Rights Oregon.
